Girlyz Clothing Co was created to better serve a much ignored market segment in the motocross and power sports industry: women. As an experienced business owner, and recreational rider for more than 25 years, Jeannie King, believed women wanted ride gear that was comfortable, functional, durable, and
fashionable! The overwhelming response to King’s line confirmed that women wanted an alternative to the traditional ride gear available. Accordingly, Girlyz opened its doors for business in May of 2002.
Girlyz originated in a small office building in Lancaster, CA. As
designing, production and wherehouse needs overwhelmed this small space,
the need to move brought Girlyz where it is today. Valencia, CA is the newest home to Girlyz, where all functions of the company are at the fingertips of the business management and employees.
Owner and founder, Jeannie King, heads the executive team of the company. Unique to other members of the Girlyz family, King is responsible for Girlyz
distinctive fashion design. Both new to the company in 2005; Vickie Speed, Sales Manager/Rider Sponsorship Executive; and Breanne Schmidt, Marketing Director/Public Relations Manager, work closely with King in making all company decisions. Speed came to the company with an extensive accounting background and knowledge of business function. Schmidt entered Girlyz with a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing and an open mind.
