| Budds Creek : May 15-17, 2007 |
On June 16, 2007, Round three of the Women’s professional WMA Championship, got off to a roaring start this weekend at Budds Creek. Practice was held early morning with Moto One at 10:15 am before the men’s outdoor national timed practice.
MOTO ONE: Fox Rider, Jessica Patterson flew off the line to grab the Girlyz sponsored holeshot, while behind her, there was a pile up in turn one involving Vania Medrano and Mieka Cornelious. As lap one got under way, it was Patterson, Satchwell, Geiger, Balbi, Whitmore, Davis then Nix. Nix went down on the second lap when her front end washed out and she got stuck in the mud. This put Nix back to 16th, but she continued undeterred and started picking off the riders in front of her one at a time. READ MORE

| Hangtown: May 18-19, 2007 |
On May 19, 2007, round two of the 2007 AMA/WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship presented by Kawasaki was held at the Hangtown Motocross Track ( Prairie City SVRA Park ), in conjunction with round one of the Men’s Toyota AMA Motocross Championship, presented by FMF.
The WMA held amatuer racing on Friday, May 18, with the professional races on Saturday, May 19th. The Pro women started out their morning with a change in race schedule that will most likely continue throughout the 2007 race season. Moto One began at 10:25 in the morning, and Moto Two was held at 5:15 pm, directly after the men’s qualifying races. This gave the fans an opportunity to see the exciting and competitive racing these women deliver. READ MORE |
